Event Details
Southwestern College and the Dance Department of the School of Arts, Communication and Social Sciences presents a spring 2021 virtual student choreographed dance concert. Streaming FREE online May 21st – 28th.
Directed by Dana Maue
During the stress and anxiety of the pandemic, we wanted to provide our students a sense of calm and normalcy. We partnered with Pro Systems Event Solutions to construct a safe and socially distant faculty dance concert on their stage.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines, we created choreography with a limited amount of dancers for each piece. The dancers and choreographers rehearsed on Zoom for two months in preparation for the show. This event gave them something to focus on and look forward to.
The student choreographers and dancers are very grateful for the opportunity to perform on a stage instead of Zoom in their room! We are excited to provide entertainment for you and hope you enjoy the “dance mask-erade part II!”
