Event Details
Auditions / Interviews of Student Choreography for the Spring 2023 dance concert, “The Magical World of Dance,” will take place on Thursday January 26th, 2023.
This concert theme is sophisticated Disney; we would like to use cover songs and/or songs from Broadway, not original soundtracks from the actual movies. Please make sure to state your song and film when scheduling an audition time and prepare a second option to avoid repeating ideas and film choice availability. There is a limit to 1 unique film per choreographer.
**Films not available to use are: Newsies and Aladdin.**
Audition/Interviews will take place every 15 minutes.
If interested please prepare the following:
1) Make an appointment with artistic director, Dana Maue by emailing dmaue@swccd.edu
2) Prepare 1:00 minute of choreography and present it to the committee with your selected music.
3) Discuss your ideas, theme, costumes and intent of your choreography.
